How to install presets in Adobe Lightroom

Getting your new presets in Adobe Lightroom is easier than you think. Just follow these simple steps.

Installing presets in Lightroom CC

Step 1: Open the Presets panel

In Lightroom CC and open the Edit panel at the top of the right sidebar. Once opened, look for the Presets button at the bottom of the panel.

Step 2: Import your presets

Tap the ... icon and click Import Presets. In the Finder window, browse to the folder where you've downloaded your presets and click Open.

Step 3: Manage your presets

You can also manage your presets by clicking Manage Presets and then selecting the presets you want to show or hide.

Installing presets in Lightroom Classic CC

Step 1: Open your presets folder on your computer

In Lightroom, open Preferences and click the Presets tab. Next, click Show Lightroom Presets Folder.

Step 2: Move your new presets into the presets folder

In the folder that opens, browse to the /Develop Presets/ folder. Drag your new presets (e.g. /VHP 01/) into that folder.

Step 3: Restart Lightroom

Restart Lightroom and you should now find your new presets under the Presets panel, under the same name as the folder you added.
